About the role (one-line)

We're hiring a hands-on WordPress developer with 1–2 years of experience who can build sites from scratch, manage cPanel/hosting & domain tasks, handle migrations and staging, and deliver production-ready WordPress sites quickly and reliably.

Key responsibilities

  • Build responsive WordPress websites from scratch using themes, template kits or page builders (Elementor / Gutenberg / other).
  • Configure, manage and troubleshoot cPanel hosting, DNS, domains, FTP, email and SSL.
  • Perform site migrations (development → staging → production) with minimal downtime; update DNS and SSL, preserve permalinks and media.
  • Create and manage staging links, then push sites to client domain/hosting.
  • Install, configure and customize themes & plugins; optimize site speed and security.
  • Routine site maintenance: backups, updates (core, themes, plugins), malware scans and troubleshooting.
  • Implement WooCommerce storefronts and basic e-commerce functionality (if required).
  • Write clear deployment notes and handover documentation for clients.
  • Communicate progress and blockers to project manager / client on daily/weekly basis.

Must-have skills & experience

  • 1–2 years professional WordPress development experience.
  • Comfortable with cPanel/hpanel, file manager, phpMyAdmin, FTP/SFTP, and basic SSH / WP-CLI usage.
  • Hands-on with standard web stack: HTML5, CSS3, basic JavaScript, PHP, MySQL.
  • Experience creating staging sites and migrating WordPress between servers/domains.
  • Familiarity with page builders (Elementor / WPBakery) and template kits; ability to convert templates into working sites.
  • Understanding of DNS, SSL installation, cron jobs, and basic server troubleshooting.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO best practices and front-end performance optimization.
  • Good written and spoken English for client communication.
  • Portfolio / links to at least 2 WordPress sites you built or migrated.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with WooCommerce, custom post types, or custom fields (ACF).
  • Experience with version control (Git) and deployment workflows.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux server administration or managed hosting platforms (cPanel, Plesk, DigitalOcean, AWS, Cloudways).
  • Familiarity with PHP debugging, WP hooks/filters and creating small custom plugins.
  • Experience with page speed tools (GTmetrix, Lighthouse) and caching (Redis, Varnish, WP Rocket).
