Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated Junior WordPress Developer to join our growing development team. The ideal candidate should have a foundational understanding of WordPress, basic front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and a willingness to learn and grow. You will assist in developing, maintaining, and updating WordPress websites, working closely with designers and senior developers to bring projects to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing custom WordPress themes and plugins
  • Maintain and update existing WordPress websites
  • Customize themes using child themes and page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery)
  • Work with HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript to create responsive designs
  • Troubleshoot website issues and implement bug fixes
  • Ensure websites are SEO-friendly and optimized for performance
  • Support website migrations, backups, and security best practices
  • Collaborate with the team on design, functionality, and UX improvements

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of WordPress CMS (admin panel and theme structure)
  • Familiarity with front-end development: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery
  • Experience with page builders like Elementor, Gutenberg, or WPBakery
  • Understanding of responsive web design principles
  • Ability to work with Git version control (basic level)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment

Preferred (Not Required) Skills

  • Knowledge of PHP and WordPress theme development
  • Experience with WooCommerce
  • Familiarity with tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Photoshop
  • Understanding of SEO and web performance optimization
  • Basic knowledge of MySQL and database structures
  • Experience with cPanel, FTP, and basic hosting management
