Role Statement:

We are looking for a technically exceptional and creative Principal AI R&D Engineer with deep expertise in computer vision, computer graphics, robotics, 3D animation, and immersive technologies (AR/VR) to join our advanced innovation team. You will be at the forefront of designing and prototyping next-generation AI systems that combine real-time perception, simulation, and interaction. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in research-driven, cross-disciplinary environments and wants to shape the future of intelligent 3D experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of advanced algorithms in 3D computer vision, 3D reconstruction, pose estimation and computer graphics.
  • Lead the creation of real-time 3D graphics pipelines, physics-based simulations, and robotics environments using 3D game engines.
  • Develop AI-assisted pipelines for 3D animation, including facial animation, body motion synthesis, and procedural animation using synthetic or captured data.
  • Generate and manipulate high-quality synthetic datasets using 3D modeling tools and game engines and integrate them with AI training pipelines.
  • Contribute to the design and deployment of AR/VR systems, including human-AI interaction models in immersive environments.
  • Collaborate with dev, DevOps, product, and design teams to translate research into scalable, production-ready systems.
  • Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in applied AI research and development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Vision / Computer Graphics / relevant field with at least 2 years of industry/startup R&D experience
  • Proficiency in Python and C , and strong experience with tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, Open3D, ROS, and CUDA
  • Experience with 3D animation tools (e.g., Blender, Autodesk Maya), including rigging, keyframing, and procedural animation techniques.
  • Strong working knowledge of Unity or Unreal Engine, particularly for simulating physical interactions or deploying AI-driven characters.
  • Familiarity with AR/VR SDKs (e.g., ARKit, ARCore, Oculus, SteamVR) and immersive experience design.
  • Solid foundation in applied mathematics, geometry, and optimization relevant to graphics and robotics.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in high-velocity, research-to-product environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Research or production experience in generative AI for 3D/animation (e.g., text-to-3D, motion diffusion models, NeRF avatars).
  • Contributions to academic conferences (e.g., CVPR, SIGGRAPH, ICRA, NeurIPS) or open-source initiatives.
  • Background in digital humans, 3D avatars, digital twins, or XR experiences.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based rendering, simulation orchestration, and scalable ML workflows.
  • Enthusiastic about crafting AI-first 3D interfaces, robotic systems, or immersive storytelling applications.
