About the Role

HMZ Food Industries is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts & Finance Executive to manage financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and support decision-making. This role involves handling both day-to-day accounting and financial management for our export and import business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial statements, monthly/quarterly reports, and management accounts.
  • Handle taxation matters including sales tax, income tax, and export/import compliance.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
  • Liaise with banks for trade finance, LCs (Letters of Credit), and other transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, accounting standards, and company policies.
  • Support audits, both internal and external.
  • Assist management in financial planning, cost control, and profitability analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in accounting/finance (experience in trading, export, or import company preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP) and MS Excel.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with export/import documentation and international transactions.
  • Knowledge of financial risk management.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability.
