Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Merchandiser to lead our merchandising team in ensuring smooth and efficient product development, inventory management and procurement. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to grow in the fashion industry and gain hands-on experience in merchandising and supply chain coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of product development and merchandising processes.
- Collaborate with suppliers, designers, and production teams to ensure timely delivery of samples and finished products.
- Maintain and update product information, including pricing, consumption, specifications, and purchase orders.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to support the creation of buying strategies and inventory management.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate reorders to ensure availability across channels.
- Prepare reports on product performance and merchandising plans.
- Support in organizing product photoshoots, displays, and promotional campaigns.
- Communicate with vendors to track shipments and resolve any delivery or quality issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in merchandising or a similar role (internship experience considered).
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and other data management tools.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Should have knowledge of fashion trends, fabrics and trims, and garment constructions.
