Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and Heat & Material Balances (H&MBs).
  • Perform steady-state and dynamic process simulations using tools such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or PRO/II.
  • Conduct equipment sizing and specification for pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, separators, and relief devices.
  • Develop and review process datasheets, operating/design conditions, and technical specifications.
  • Carry out hydraulic calculations (line sizing, pump head calculations, pressure drop analysis).
  • Perform flare, relief, and depressurization system design including PSV sizing and flare load summaries.
  • Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and risk assessment studies, ensuring compliance with process safety standards.
  • Support procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning teams with process technical guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant international codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO, IEC, DEP, etc.).
  • (Senior Level): Lead design reviews, provide technical bid evaluations, mentor junior process engineers, and interface with clients and project management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Process Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Process Engineer: 2–5 years of relevant process engineering experience in Oil & Gas, Refining, or Petrochemical projects.
  • Senior Process Engineer: 5–12 years of process engineering experience with proven leadership in design/EPC projects.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software (Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, PRO/II).
  • Hands-on experience in equipment sizing and specification.
  • Knowledge of process safety and relief system design.
  • Familiarity with international design codes and standards.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and teamwork skills.
