Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced WordPress Developer to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom WordPress websites and themes. You will work closely with our design, content, and marketing teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Convert design mockups (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) into responsive, pixel-perfect WordPress websites.
  • Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress functionality or performance.
  • Implement website enhancements and new features based on business requirements.
  • Ensure security and data protection best practices are followed.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and tools as needed (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, WooCommerce).
  • Keep WordPress core, themes, and plugins up to date.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile development environment.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in WordPress development.
  • Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
  • Experience with popular page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg).
  • Familiarity with version control (Git).
  • Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, REST API, and database structure.
  • Experience developing custom themes and plugins from scratch.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices, accessibility, and performance optimization.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with WooCommerce and eCommerce integrations.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools.
  • Knowledge of headless WordPress or Jamstack architecture.
  • Experience working in a collaborative agile environment using tools like Jira, Trello, or Asana.
