Junior Smart TV App Developer
, where you'll help build innovative streaming applications for both
Roku TV
and
LG WebOS
platforms. This role is ideal for those eager to gain hands-on experience developing large-screen TV apps and grow rapidly in the Smart TV ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Smart TV applications for Roku TV (BrightScript, SceneGraph) and LG WebOS (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3).
  • Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and engineers to build user-driven features optimized for remote control navigation.
  • Write clean, modular, and well-documented code; participate in peer code reviews and uphold internal coding standards.
  • Debug and resolve issues related to playback, UI responsiveness, and platform compatibility.
  • Integrate streaming protocols, video playback libraries, and cloud-based media into applications.
  • Stay updated with SDK releases, development tools, and emerging Smart TV technology trends.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Solid programming skills in BrightScript or JavaScript; experience with HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Knowledge of agile development processes, Git version control, and automated testing.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, teamwork skills, and effective communication.
  • Motivation to learn new technologies and progress within the Smart TV development field.

Preferred (Bonus) Skills:

  • Practical experience or personal projects using Roku SDK, SceneGraph, or WebOS TV SDK.
  • Understanding of video streaming protocols (HLS, DASH) and encoding standards (H.264, H.265).
  • Familiarity with Smart TV UI/UX design considerations.
  • Exposure to cross-platform app frameworks or mobile development.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and platforms to enhance user experiences or streamline development workflows.
