We are looking for a Taxation Officer who will be responsible for handling all FBR (Federal Board of Revenue)-related matters, ensuring full compliance with tax laws, filings, and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Pakistan's tax regulations, including income tax, sales tax, withholding tax, and corporate filings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and ensure timely filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (Income Tax, Sales Tax, and Withholding Tax).
  • Maintain compliance with FBR rules and SROs applicable to the company.
  • Prepare and reconcile tax ledgers and reports for internal and external audits.
  • Handle tax notices, assessments, and correspondence with FBR and other authorities.
  • Ensure withholding tax deductions are made correctly and deposited on time.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and tax advisors when required.
  • Maintain proper documentation and recordkeeping for all tax-related matters.
  • Stay updated with latest changes in tax laws, rates, and compliance deadlines.
  • Assist in financial statement preparation from a tax perspective.
  • Support management in tax planning and risk assessment to ensure cost efficiency and compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in taxation, FBR compliance, or accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of FBR e-filing systems, IRIS portal, and PRA (if applicable).
  • Excellent understanding of Pakistan tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
