We are seeking a Certified Medical Coder (CPC, CCS, or equivalent certification) with specialized experience in Neurology and Cardiology coding. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding guidelines, with proven expertise in coding for complex neurological and cardiovascular procedures, diagnostic tests, and office visits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for neurology and cardiology services, including but not limited to EEG, EMG, stroke care, epilepsy management, angiography, echocardiography, stress testing, interventional cardiology, and electrophysiology studies.
  • Review and analyze medical records, operative reports, and clinical documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with payer guidelines.
  • Ensure coding accuracy to optimize reimbursement while maintaining compliance with federal regulations (CMS, HIPAA, OIG) and payer-specific policies.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff to provide documentation improvement feedback and clarify coding queries.
  • Conduct coding audits and denial reviews to identify trends, reduce errors, and minimize claim denials.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, regulatory changes, and specialty-specific updates.
  • Utilize EHR and coding software systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athena, or other platforms) for efficient workflow management.

Qualifications:

  • Current coding certification: CPC (AAPC), CCS (AHIMA), or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of coding experience in Neurology and/or Cardiology specialties preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of neurology and cardiology procedures, diagnostic codes, and compliance regulations.
  • Experience in denial management, claims processing, and revenue cycle optimization.
  • Proficiency with medical coding software and EHR systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with risk adjustment coding (HCC) and E/M leveling for complex cases.
  • Knowledge of prior authorizations and payer-specific requirements for neurological and cardiovascular services.
  • Ability to train and mentor junior coders in neurology/cardiology specialties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs80, Rs100,000.00 per month
