Job Description

  • Administering Cisco and Palo Alto and Checkpoint-based network devices located globally
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain efficiency, reliability and high availability
  • Analyze network traffic and usage patterns to optimize performance and scalability
  • Respond to and resolve network outages, incidents, and service requests in a timely manner
  • Work with team to support on-prem and cloud-based network integrations
  • Implement security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls, to safeguard network integrity
  • Regularly installing and updating network device software with the latest stable releases.
  • Managing access controls as per business requirements and documenting all changes.
  • Conducting continuous research on the latest technologies to improve the network infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with the team to identify and implement infrastructure improvements.
  • Maintaining detailed network documentation, including audit trails, processes, maintenance records, and diagrams.
  • Ensuring the timely completion of support tickets and assigned tasks
  • Deep understanding of generic network attacks and take care of it pro-actively

We are looking for

     Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience:
     Atleast 5 years

Skills

  • Flexible to work in a 24x7x365 environment.
  • Strong knowledge of computer networking principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team to manage networks across remote locations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Tools

  • Strong knowledge of Cisco and Palo Alto NextGen & Check Point network devices is a must
  • Experience with PAN-OS configuration, policy management, threat prevention, User-ID integration, Panorama Management
  • Check Point Gaia OS: Proficiency in installing, configuring, and managing the Gaia operating system.
  • Hands-on experience of Layer-2 and Layer-3 high-availability technologies.
  • Hands-on experience of routing protocols (BGP/OSPF)
  • In-depth knowledge of Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPN
  • In-depth knowledge of Authentication protocols (TACACS+/RADIUS)
  • In-depth knowledge of virtualization and SD-WAN technologies
  • Expertise in the latest network technologies
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco ISE, Umbrella.
  • Scripting knowledge (Python, Ansible) for network automation is a plus
  • Good knowledge of Linux operating system is a plus
  • Completion of relevant trainings such as CCNP, PCNSE or equivalent is a must
