ABOUT THE JOB:

We are developing the next generation of our product, a stand alone education platform designed for the Government of Pakistan to empower both teachers and students.

We are looking for a hands-on Senior SQA Team Lead to drive a culture of quality and excellence across the engineering teams. You'll play a key role in defining testing strategies, promoting automation, and ensuring continuous delivery throughout the development cycle.

As a leader, you'll mentor and guide the QA team, helping them establish strong testing foundations as we build this platform from the ground up. This role involves close collaboration with our backend, frontend, and AI teams to deliver a robust, high-performing, and reliable product.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies.
  • Write automation code for integration and e2e testing (frontend/backend etc) using AI.
  • Manage automated load testing automation.
  • Design and execute test cases, both manual and automated.
  • Implement security and vulnerability scans in an automated way
  • Identify and report defects effectively.
  • Track and manage defect resolution process. Automate reproduction of defects.
  • Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure high quality software is released.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest testing methodologies and tools.
  • Mentor and coach junior QA engineers.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies
  • Strong understanding of automation testing frameworks like RestAssured and Cypress
  • Understanding of running applications on local environments.
  • Understanding of how CI pipelines work.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages
  • Experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)

  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., )
  • Experience with security testing tools
  • Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., AWS Device Farm)
