We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products through rigorous testing, validation, and continuous improvement. You will play a critical role in defining quality standards, identifying bugs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance performance, reliability, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement QA strategies, test plans, and test cases to ensure software quality.
  • Define testing standards and best practices aligned with project goals and timelines.
  • Identify quality risks early in the development cycle and recommend mitigation strategies.

Test Design & Execution

  • Perform manual and automated testing for web, mobile, and API-based applications.
  • Validate functionality, usability, performance, and security of applications.
  • Execute regression, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure system reliability.

Defect Management & Reporting

  • Identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure timely bug resolution.
  • Prepare detailed test reports and communicate quality metrics to stakeholders.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Evaluate and implement test automation frameworks to increase testing efficiency.
  • Continuously optimize QA processes through automation, data-driven insights, and best practices.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines with automated test integration to streamline deployment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to maintain quality alignment.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and QA documentation for team-wide improvement.

Qualifications

  • Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
  • Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Postman, JMeter, or Cypress.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing for web and mobile applications.

Skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple testing projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)

  • Experience with API testing and automation frameworks (PyTest, Robot Framework, or Playwright).
  • Knowledge of performance, load, and security testing tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of database testing (SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
