Role Description

Roots International Schools & Colleges is looking for a dynamic and knowledgeable Academic Coordinator to oversee and enhance the academic delivery of both Local (Matriculation/FSc) and International Qualifications (IGCSE, O/A Levels, IB, etc.). The ideal candidate will be responsible for curriculum planning, teacher training, compliance, academic auditing, and performance improvement across the school system.

  • Coordinate the effective delivery of both local and international curricula across subjects and grade levels
  • Ensure curriculum alignment with national standards and international examination boards (Cambridge, Edexcel, IB, etc.)
  • Monitor and evaluate lesson planning, classroom teaching, and student performance
  • Provide continuous academic support, mentorship, and training to teachers
  • Collaborate with school heads to ensure high academic standards and student achievement
  • Facilitate implementation of innovative teaching methodologies and digital learning tools
  • Conduct regular academic audits, inspections, and feedback sessions
  • Liaise with examination bodies for registration, policy updates, and compliance
  • Organize professional development workshops for teaching staff
  • Support the development of assessments, marking schemes, and academic calendars
