Senior Manager/ Manager Financial Planning

This position is responsible for overall financial operation of the private companies which includes, accounting functions such as budgeting, book-keeping, petty cash management, payment function, trial balance, fixed asset register, cash position reporting, coordination with banks (both local and foreign) and preparation of quarterly and annual accounts. In addition, responsible for supervising investment department relating to sales, purchase, gifts and valuation of investments on a cutoff date, taxation management, employee management etc.

Moreover, acting as a central coordinator for external advisors, managing household staff, and overseeing investments, and legal matters, to ensure the family's smooth and efficient management of their assets and wealth. Key duties include financial reporting, investment coordination, property and household management, lifestyle and concierge services, and philanthropic activities.

Financial and investment management

  • Budgeting and reporting
    : Manage budgets, track expenses, and prepare consolidated financial reports to give the individual family member a clear overview of their/his/her net worth and cash flow.

  • Investment coordination
    : Act as a point of contact between the family and its financial advisors, banks, and investment managers. The manager monitors performance and ensures investment strategies align with family goals.

  • Cash flow
    : Manage cash flow and bank accounts for the family and its various entities to ensure liquidity for day-to-day needs and investment opportunities.

  • Record keeping
    : Maintain detailed and confidential records of all financial and legal matters.

Strategic and specialized planning

  • Estate and succession planning
    : Assist with estate planning, including managing trusts and working with legal experts to develop strategies for generational wealth transfer.

  • Tax compliance
    : Coordinate with tax advisors to ensure tax efficiency and full compliance with regulations for the family's various entities.

  • Philanthropy
    : Manage the family's charitable giving and philanthropic activities, ensuring donations and foundations are handled in accordance with the family's wishes.

Payments

Manage following activities to ensure:

  • All the payments are processed with regards to proper classification in revenue and capital expenditures. All payment processing should be within the relevant account head such as advances, expenses, prepayments etc.

  • Proper Sales Tax Invoice is obtained in the name of Company from vendors

  • Verifying tax status of vendor at the time of payment

  • Payment of monthly withholding taxes before 15th of every month

  • All approvals obtained as per the Limit of Authority Manual before recording entries in the system.

  • Payment of weekly Income withholding taxes within 7 days of the end week in which payment is made.

Qualification and Experience:
CA/ACCA / MBA (Finance) is preferred with 15 years of experience may also be considered.
