Job Description -  Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Specialist

ABOUT THE ROLE
The FP&A Specialist will oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. This role combines core FP&A tasks with treasury functions, including liquidity management, currency hedging, and risk mitigation. The FP&A Lead will manage cash flow forecasts, optimize working capital, and integrate accounts receivable data into broader financial strategies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in FP&A, treasury management, and multi-currency financial planning, particularly in global or e-commerce environments.

 Key Responsibilities 

Financial Planning & Analysis

Lead the preparation of periodic budgets, projections, and quarterly forecasts, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic financial goals and operational needs.
Develop and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts, ensuring efficient working capital management across the business.
Build and manage financial models to assess various business scenarios, including impacts of currency fluctuations, treasury strategies, and operational changes.

Treasury & FOREX Management

Manage the company's currency risk exposure by developing and executing effective hedging strategies.
Oversee cash management, optimize reserves, and maintain adequate liquidity for smooth operations.
Manage global banking relationships and collaborate with leadership on financing strategies, including debt optimization and capital structure improvements.

Accounts Receivable (AR) & Cash Flow Integration

Incorporate receivables data (including aging reports and DSO trends) into broader financial forecasts and working capital planning.
Oversee the integration of customer advances, COD payments, and gateway receivables into cash flow management.
Ensure accurate cash flow forecasting by aligning AR collections and receivables timing with liquidity strategies.

Risk Management & Strategic Insights

Analyze financial risks (e.g., currency fluctuations, interest rates, credit risk) and deliver actionable recommendations.
Lead scenario planning for treasury risks, evaluating hedging strategies and liquidity scenarios to mitigate financial impacts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system integration between treasury, AR, and financial planning systems for greater accuracy and visibility.

Audit Compliance & Internal Controls

Support internal and external audits with proper documentation related to treasury, AR, and financial reporting.
Strengthen and maintain internal controls over cash management, currency hedging, and AR processes to protect financial integrity.
Requirements
 Education & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CA) is preferred.
 Article ship in a well-known firm is a plus.
 Experience & Skills Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial planning, preferably in e-commerce or retail sectors.
Strong understanding of financial modelling and variance analysis, with the ability to integrate treasury and AR data into broader financial plans.
Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Strong organizational abilities with high attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
