Job Overview:

To prepare accurate technical drawings, layouts, and schematics for Building Technologies projects including HVAC control systems, electrical layouts, fire alarm systems, security, and other low-voltage systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting & Design:

  • Develop detailed AutoCAD drawings for HVAC control systems, BMS layouts, fire alarm, access control, lighting control, and other ELV systems.
  • Modify and update existing drawings based on site conditions, engineering feedback, or customer requirements.
  • Prepare As-Built drawings after project completion.

Technical Support:

  • Coordinate with design engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy and clarity of drawings.
  • Maintain drawing registers and ensure proper version control.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Ensure drawings meet local codes, standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEEE, etc.), and client specifications.
  • Support preparation of technical submittals and shop drawings for consultant/contractor approval.

Site Coordination:

  • Liaise with site teams to incorporate changes as per red-line markups.
  • Conduct occasional site visits to gather necessary details for drawings.
Key Skills & Competencies:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D); knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage.
  • Understanding of BMS, HVAC, Electrical & ELV systems.
  • Knowledge of drafting standards and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
