Waiter

Job Purpose

To provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and present menus.
• Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and correctly to guests.
• Ensure tables are clean, well-presented, and set up before and after each service.
• Respond to guest inquiries about the menu, making recommendations when requested.
• Check with customers to ensure satisfaction with meals and resolve complaints professionally.
• Follow restaurant policies, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members for smooth service.
• Handle billing and payment procedures accurately.
• Maintain a high level of personal cleanliness and proper uniform.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress is preferred (but not always required).
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverages.
• Polite, professional, and well-presented personality.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Carry food trays and beverages safely.
