About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and self-driven Shopify Developer with hands-on experience in custom Shopify theme development, Liquid programming, and advanced Shopify functionalities. The ideal candidate should be capable of building and optimizing Shopify stores from scratch, customizing functionalities beyond app-based setups, and ensuring excellent performance, scalability, and UX consistency across devices. You will be working remotely and handling tasks independently, so a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and quick turnaround on assignments are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify stores both front-end (themes) and back-end (Liquid, API integration, etc.). and Create custom Shopify themes and modify existing ones using Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and JSON.
  • Implement custom functionalities without relying solely on third-party apps.
  • Integrate and configure Shopify APIs and custom webhooks for advanced automation or data synchronization.
  • Develop custom sections, blocks, and metafields to enhance flexibility for content editors.
  • Optimize Shopify checkout experiences, payment gateways, and subscription models where applicable.
  • Build and manage custom apps or private apps using Shopify CLI, , or REST/GraphQL APIs (optional but preferred).
  • Optimize website speed, asset management, and load times for maximum performance.
  • Ensure SEO best practices in development (schema, structured data, meta handling, lazy loading).
  • Implement image and script optimization for fast and smooth performance.

Requirements and Skills:

  • 5 years of hands-on experience in Shopify development (custom builds).
  • Proven portfolio of custom Shopify stores (links required).
  • Strong understanding of Liquid template language and theme architecture.
  • Working knowledge of Shopify APIs, webhooks, and app development concepts.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX principles and responsive design standards.
  • Experience with Git workflows (branching, merging, pull requests).
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly proactive and self-motivated in managing assigned projects and delivering on time.
  • Quick to respond to communication and project updates during agreed hours.
