About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer
to join our Islamabad-based international design office. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the planning, design, and coordination of civil infrastructure projects including
roads, highways, drainage, utilities, and site development works
.

This position requires advanced technical knowledge of infrastructure design, strong project management capabilities, and excellent communication for coordination with multidisciplinary teams across offices in Rome and Islamabad. The role offers an opportunity to work on international-level infrastructure projects designed under
European and Middle Eastern standards
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage infrastructure design activities for international projects (roads, highways, drainage, utilities, grading, etc.).
  • Develop and review detailed design drawings, design reports, specifications, and BOQs.
  • Prepare and optimize road alignment geometry, profiles, cross-sections, and pavement design using
    AutoCAD Civil 3D
    .
  • Design stormwater drainage systems, culverts, manholes, catch basins, and utility layouts.
  • Ensure compliance with
    Eurocode, AASHTO, ASTM
    , and other relevant international standards.
  • Perform hydraulic and hydrologic analysis using relevant software tools.
  • Coordinate closely with
    Structural, MEP, and Architectural
    departments for multidisciplinary integration.
  • Lead design review meetings, ensure technical consistency, and guide junior engineers and draftsmen.
  • Conduct quality control of design outputs and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Support estimation teams by providing design inputs and technical clarifications during bid stages.
  • Prepare project documentation including design reports, design basis memorandums, and progress summaries.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:
    Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Experience:
    Minimum
    years
    of professional experience in infrastructure design, preferably for international projects.
  • Professional Registration:
    PEC registration required; international memberships (ICE, ASCE, etc.) preferred.
  • Software Proficiency:
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D
    (mandatory)
  • Autodesk AEC Collection / InfraWorks (preferred)
  • StormCAD, SewerCAD, or other drainage design software
  • MS Office, Project Management Tools

Preferred Skills

  • Strong command over
    road geometric design, grading, drainage systems, and utilities layout
    .
  • Excellent understanding of
    international design standards
    and documentation protocols.
  • Effective communication skills for coordination with international teams (Rome office).
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills for junior staff.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
  • Prior experience on
    European or Middle Eastern infrastructure projects
    is highly desirable.
