Our Client is a leading Telecom Company having more than 300 stores across various states of USA.
Position Summary
The Head of Control Panel CCTV will lead and manage the night shift security team, ensuring the continuous and effective operation of all CCTV and surveillance systems. This role is crucial for maintaining a secure environment during non-business hours by proactively monitoring activities, responding to incidents, and providing timely and accurate information to relevant authorities and on-site security personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, and manage a team of night-shift CCTV operators. Create and manage shift schedules to ensure continuous coverage, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a professional and vigilant work environment. - Surveillance Operations:
Oversee the proactive monitoring of multiple CCTV feeds to detect and respond to any unusual, suspicious, or criminal activity. This includes identifying potential threats, trespassers, or safety hazards on the premises. - Incident Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for all security incidents during the night shift. Coordinate with on-site security teams, local law enforcement, or emergency services to ensure a swift and appropriate response. - Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain detailed and accurate logs of all incidents, observations, and actions taken during the shift. Prepare and submit comprehensive reports to management. - System Maintenance:
Ensure all CCTV equipment, including cameras, monitors, and recording devices, is in proper working condition. Report any technical malfunctions or issues to the appropriate maintenance personnel and oversee a preventive maintenance schedule. - Compliance:
Ensure all surveillance activities comply with local, state, and federal laws, as well as company policies regarding privacy and data protection. This includes managing the secure storage and retrieval of video evidence for investigations.
Qualifications
- Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a CCTV control room or security role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership position. - Local Retail Sector or a Back Office Experience is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills:
Proven proficiency in operating and managing complex CCTV systems, including expertise in both analog and digital cameras, network video recorders (NVRs), and related software. - Soft Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. The ability to remain calm and focused under pressure is essential. - Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and maintain a high level of concentration during the night shift. - Education/Certifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Relevant certifications in security management or CCTV operations are a plus.
