Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer located in Islāmābād, Pakistan. The SQA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring software quality through manual testing, developing and executing test plans, identifying and documenting bugs, and collaborating with the software development team. The role also involves creating and maintaining test cases, performing regression testing, and verifying that software meets specified requirements.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer
to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through systematic testing, identifying issues, and collaborating with developers to resolve defects. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts (manual & automated).
  • Identify, record, and thoroughly document bugs or issues.
  • Perform regression, functional, integration, system, and performance testing.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Participate in requirement analysis and contribute to defining acceptance criteria.
  • Continuously improve QA processes and recommend best practices.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of testing activities and results.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience as an SQA Engineer, QA Tester, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Hands-on experience with testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, Postman, TestRail, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
  • Basic understanding of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, or JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
