We are currently building a full-featured crypto exchange that includes a spot trading engine and a futures contracts engine—and we're looking for a seasoned Backend Engineer to help us deliver it.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer ) with deep experience in crypto exchanges, wallets, and trading systems. You will be a key contributor to the design and development of our spot trading engine, futures engine, wallet systems, and API infrastructure—built to handle 200K+ concurrent users with millisecond-level latency.

Key Responsibilities1. Core Exchange & Trading Systems

• Design and develop the spot trading engine (order book, trade matching, market/limit orders).
• Build and maintain the futures contract engine, including PnL calculations, margin requirements, and liquidation logic.
• Optimize system throughput to ensure low-latency execution for a large user base.

2. Blockchain & Wallet Integrations

• Build secure wallet services for deposits, withdrawals, and internal transfers.
• Integrate with multiple blockchains (EVM, Solana, Tron, Bitcoin) and custodians like Fireblocks.
• Maintain reconciliation between on-chain and off-chain balances.

3. Scalability & Reliability

• Architect microservices that can scale horizontally for 200K+ users.
• Ensure fault tolerance, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Implement caching, queueing, and real-time streaming (Kafka, Redis, WebSockets).

4. Security & Compliance

• Apply industry best practices for API security, encryption, and key management.
• Ensure compliance with KYC/AML requirements and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor and prevent fraudulent activities.

5. Collaboration & Leadership

• Work closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce engineering best practices.
• Participate in technical roadmap planning and system architecture discussions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend development experience with (minimum 2+ years with NestJS).
• Strong expertise in trading systems (order book, matching engine, futures contracts).
• Proven track record building scalable crypto/blockchain apps supporting large user bases (200K+ users).
• Solid knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and in-memory stores (Redis).
• Hands-on experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, and message queues.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of security best practices (JWT/OAuth2, HSM integration, encryption).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with distributed teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with performance benchmarking and low-latency optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Understanding of risk management systems (liquidations, margin calls).
• Knowledge of Web3 development , ).
