The Audit Officer will assist in executing internal audit assignments to ensure effective internal controls, compliance with company policies, and adherence to regulatory requirements. The role requires analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide objective evaluations and recommendations to improve business processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and conducting internal audits across different departments and business units.
  • Evaluate internal controls, risk management frameworks, and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Perform substantive testing, analytical review, and risk-based audit procedures.
  • Identify control gaps, inefficiencies, and areas of non-compliance.
  • Prepare clear and concise working papers and audit documentation.
  • Draft audit findings and assist in preparing audit reports with recommendations.
  • Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
  • Support external auditors with audit-related requests when required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethical standards at all times.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards, internal controls, and risk management.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Analytical thinking with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High integrity and professional judgment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • ACCA Qualified or Affiliate (essential).
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant audit, finance, or risk management experience.
  • Prior experience in an audit firm or internal audit department is preferred.
