Position: Inventory Audit Officer (junior level)

Department: Audit / Inventory Control

Saleem Fabrics is looking for enthusiastic Inventory Audit Interns to assist in maintaining accurate stock records, supporting physical audits, and learning key inventory processes for both Loose Fabric and Ready-to-Wear (RTW) categories. This internship is ideal for candidates who are keen to gain hands-on experience in retail audit and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting physical inventory audits at store and warehouse levels (Loose Fabric & RTW).
  • Support verification of physical stock against system records (POS/ERP).
  • Help in identifying stock mismatches, missing items, or overages.
  • Maintain and update basic audit logs and documentation under supervision.
  • Assist the Audit Executive in coordinating with relevant departments (Sales/IT) for adjustments.
  • Ensure barcoding, tagging, and fabric classification are properly followed.
  • Report any unusual or suspicious findings to senior audit staff.
  • Learn and suggest ways to improve stock handling practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in progress or recently completed (Commerce, Textile, or Business-related field preferred).
  • Basic understanding of fabric types such as Wash-n-Wear, Embroidered, Suiting, and RTW is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and willing to learn data entry/reporting tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, honesty, and willingness to learn.
  • Able to travel occasionally to assigned stores within Central and North regions.

Job Type: Full-time
