We are a fast-growing company looking for an experienced
WordPress Backend Developer
with a deep understanding of
REST APIs
and
performance monitoring

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes, plugins, and backend functionality.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient
    REST APIs
    .
  • Monitor and optimize website performance, focusing on
    speed
    ,
    load times
    , and
    server response
    .
  • Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks related to database queries, server configurations, and plugin interactions.
  • Work closely with frontend developers to integrate APIs and backend systems seamlessly.
  • Implement caching strategies and performance optimization techniques.
  • Use performance monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Query Monitor) to ensure a fast and responsive site.
  • Collaborate with the team using
    version control systems
    (Git) to manage code and track progress.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (3+ years) working with
    WordPress backend development
    .
  • Expert knowledge in
    WordPress core
    and database optimization.
  • Experience building and consuming
    REST APIs
    in WordPress.
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and optimization techniques.
  • Strong proficiency in
    PHP

  • Proficiency in

    and version control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify performance bottlenecks.
