Wordpress plugin Developer

The internet continues to develop at great speed and Zilon International Inc is on the cutting edge with exceptional website designs. We are looking for a skilled WordPress Guru and a polished Web Developer to join Zilon International Inc as a Software Engineer-WordPress. This is a mid-level position, for which an ideal candidate will be someone with in-depth knowledge of designing UI and UX interphases, having the capability of developing custom WP plugins modules & themes, and also possessing the ability to manage the Corporate Website using WordPress.

The web developer will have an immediate effect on our product and that of our clients, as well as an ongoing impact in solidifying our industry-wide reputation for stellar design.

Required Skills:

• BSCS/ MCS or a related field
• Must possess plug-in expertise
• Experience planning and developing websites across multiple products and organizations
• Working knowledge of web applications, programming languages, and web services, such as APIs, CSS, CSS3, cross-browser compatibility, HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, security principles, REST, SOAP, and web user interface design (UI)
• Ability to write and edit technical documentation
• Proficiency with content management systems, including WordPress and Drupal
• Dedication to innovative, sophisticated designs and collaborative problem-solving
• Working experience in Windows and Linux environments
• Experience implementing and using modern web development workflows and operations using a variety of tools including GitHub
• Experience with eCommerce (Big plus)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in English is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Develop custom WP plugins, modules, and themes. Ensure that new custom creations work properly in all environments while overcoming conflicts with popular themes and plugins
• Meet regularly with the Team lead to understand and refine business and functional requirements and determine product scopes and specifications
• Develop and maintain strategic operational systems, tools, and processes, including participation in tactical and strategic development projects
• Design and develop UI (User Interface) & UX (User Experience)
• Lead the definition of great UX throughout the product lifecycle
• Experience with A/B testing landing pages and websites to optimize marketing campaigns for timely campaign execution.
• Corporate Website management using WordPress, Development of webpage templates using WordPress & plugins
• Develop, follow, and ensure high standards of usability, consistency, and clarity in UI design across different platforms
• Push the boundaries to create better, innovative experiences for our web and mobile application users
• Work closely with the Engineering and Product Managers to support UI & UX implementation efforts
• UI design and development using different tools like Photoshop etc. and Front-End UI development using HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and responsive UI frameworks like Foundation, Bootstrap, etc.
• Work & collaborate with the backend developers to push the limits of existing UI technology and create the best possible UX
• Solve different UI challenges like browser compatibility issues, different resolutions, etc.
• Complete programming assignments, learn & adopt new frameworks

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Graphics design or related fields
• 2+ years of web UI/UX design & development experience using Photoshop, HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery. and worked in different CMS systems
• WordPress Guru – must know the latest trends and standards using WordPress as CMS
• Hands-on experience in web development, configuration, and management of websites using WordPress
• Proficient with responsive frameworks like Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.
• Must have hands-on experience in PHP programming
• Integration with REST/SOUP Web Services, WordPress Rest API
