Job Title: Regional Head South

Location: Karachi

Department: Operations

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

About the Role:

The Catalyst Group is hiring a Regional Head South for its client, The Hunar Foundation, a non-profit leader in providing skill-based training. The Regional Head is responsible for providing leadership and direction to The Hunar Foundation institutes in the South region, overseeing operations, staff, programs, finances, and partnerships to ensure the achievement of organizational objectives.

Requirements:

  • Education: Masters in Business, Education, Engineering or a related field from a reputable university
  • Experience: 12-15 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years of proven supervisory experience in an educational institute
  • Age Bracket: 35-50 years

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies and plans to achieve the Foundations goals in the South region
  • Lead planning, development, and implementation of THF programs
  • Set operational and financial goals with the leadership team and monitor performance against them
  • Lead a team of professionals to ensure effective program and initiative delivery
  • Develop relationships with local government and key stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure collaboration and seamless information flow
  • Identify and secure funding opportunities and increase regional visibility through events and outreach
  • Manage the regional budget and ensure effective resource utilization
  • Represent THF at regional events and forums
  • Prepare regular project reports for the COO
  • Guide and support staff; identify and implement performance-improving initiatives
  • Establish high academic and professional standards for trainees and staff
  • Oversee institute operations including instruction, extracurriculars, discipline, facilities, evaluation and emergency protocols
  • Supervise student admissions transparently and ensure targets are met
  • Implement and supervise fair student assessment systems
  • Ensure functionality of workshop equipment and maintain academic/office records in standard formats
  • Establish industry linkages for internships and graduate placement
  • Regularly observe classroom sessions and encourage diverse teaching strategies
  • Oversee student records, parent/student interactions, discipline, visits, workshops, speaker sessions, OJT and placements
  • Attend trade seminars and workshops beneficial to students and the institute
  • Maintain discipline systems that ensure safety, morale, and responsibility
  • Ensure accurate data entry in SIS and other student portals
  • Adhere strictly to regulatory and vocational authority requirements
  • Maintain secure and confidential records
  • Share sponsored trainee data with RMD/Grants departments and track progress
  • Ensure audit readiness through complete documentation
  • Monitor vehicle usage and log maintenance
  • Participate in committee meetings and national events (e.g., community service, independence day, graduation)
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management
