Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Upwork Bidder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying suitable projects on Upwork (and other freelancing platforms), writing compelling proposals, and coordinating with the internal team to convert leads into successful projects. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong understanding of client psychology, and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Search, filter, and identify relevant projects on Upwork and other freelance marketplaces.
- Write clear, tailored, and persuasive proposals that highlight client needs and our service strengths.
- Communicate with potential clients, answer queries, and build strong professional relationships.
- Work closely with the design & development team to understand technical requirements before bidding.
- Maintain a high level of activity on bidding platforms to ensure consistent client outreach.
- Track proposal submissions, follow-ups, and conversion rates in a structured manner.
- Prepare daily/weekly reports on bidding performance and outcomes.
- Stay updated with market trends and competitor strategies to improve success rate.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Upwork Bidder, Business Development Executive, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of freelancing platforms (Upwork knowledge is mandatory).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to analyze client requirements and match them with our service offerings.
- Knowledge of IT, software development, Shopify, eCommerce, or web design is a big plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Self-motivated and target-driven with a focus on results.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of bidding experience on Upwork or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, proposal trackers, or Google Sheets dashboards.
- Experience in writing winning proposals with a good conversion ratio.
