Job Summary

We are hiring a
Concept Artist / Illustrator
for our Karachi office. This is a permanent, on-site role.
Remote, freelance, part-time, or work-from-home applicants will not be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Draw detailed storyboards for 2D animation with a strong sense of storytelling, camera, character movement, and shot composition.
  • Design original characters for both 2D and 3D projects, including character sheets with poses, expressions, and color variations.
  • Compose and design layered compositions, frames, and visuals for motion graphics, 2D animation, and visual storytelling.
  • Be research-oriented, communicative, and creative - able to gather reference material, create and pitch mood boards, discuss ideas with the art director, and incorporate feedback effectively.
  • Work with a collaborative spirit. Take direction well, incorporate feedback, maintain speed and quality, and communicate effectively with team members including designers and animators.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Media Sciences (Film & TV, Communication Design, or Animation).
  • 2 - 3 years of experience working within the 2D/3D animation pipeline.
  • Strong academic foundation in art fundamentals and design principles.
  • Demonstrated portfolio of professional work aligned with the animation pipeline.
  • Familiarity with production timelines and ability to meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • Strong drawing skills with solid fundamentals (perspective, anatomy, composition).
  • Ability to create original illustrations -
    no tracing or overpainting others' work
    .
  • Skilled at drawing characters with poses and expressions, plus environments and props.
  • Flexibility to adapt art styles based on project requirements.
  • Prior experience with storyboarding and character design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator.
  • Experience using a graphic tablet for illustration.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Must have a portfolio showcasing original artwork.
