CATEGORY INTRODUCTION:

Pakistan's Beauty and Wellbeing is a €225m business and commands the market leadership position in Hair Care. It operates with 6 strong brands (Lifebuoy, Sunsilk, Glow & Lovely, Dove, Ponds and TRESemmé), 4 of which are power brands for Unilever globally. The business today is supported by one of the most technologically advanced and efficient B&W flagship factories in the PTAB region. With its large consumer base and strong market position, B&W Pakistan is the biggest market in PTAB region and holds clear strategic importance for the region.

JOB PURPOSE

This role will entail working on product formulation and will also be a partner to cross functional teams to drive innovations, renovations & other R&D pillars.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

• Technical delivery of formulation of Beauty & Well-being Products as per project briefs for Innovation, Renovation, Value Improvement, Compliances, and Sustainability projects.
• Work closely with the Technical Project leads in the Region & also with the Global teams
• Ensure formulation compliance with Unilever Standards & country regulations
• Ensure compatibility of product formulation with the packaging and production line
• Lead Activity networks for above projects from formulation side
• Alternate supplier & alternative materials development for resilience
• Work closely with the cross functional teams including Supply chain, Procurement, Marketing, Finance to deliver the above projects
• Work closely with Factory, processing team & other stakeholders for driving Risk assessment & leading main plant trials for innovations, renovations, savings and other projects
• Lead Main Plant Trials from Product development side
• Completely understand the formulation & bill of materials for formulation
• Understand regulatory requirements and standards and liaise with the regulatory team.

• Global & regional R&D teams including Packaging, Processing, Formulation & Regulatory teams
• Supply Chain, Procurement, and Quality team
• Marketing and Finance teams

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experience & Qualifications

• BE Chemical Engineering, MSc Applied Chemistry or Chemistry or equivalent experience
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Product development in R&D or similar roles
• Experience of project management and cross-functional delivery in an FMCG environment
