National Institutional Facilitation Technologies (NIFT) is seeking a skilled Deputy Manager – Configuration Management to lead configuration and deployment governance across enterprise systems.

The role ensures environment stability, configuration accuracy, and controlled software deployments across UAT, Production, and DR environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain configuration management frameworks and CMDB accuracy.
  • Manage version control, release processes, and rollback procedures.
  • Conduct configuration audits and ensure compliance with internal security and change control policies.
  • Optimize server performance and environment scalability through automation and proactive monitoring.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Infrastructure teams for seamless deployments.
  • Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and performance reports.
  • Mentor team members and promote best practices in configuration management.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (HEC recognized).

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in configuration or release management of enterprise applications.

Technical Expertise:

  • Tools: Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Git, Terraform, ARM, Azure DevOps, Jenkins
  • Platforms: AWS / Azure, IIS, NGINX, Tomcat
  • Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, Python
  • Frameworks: ITIL v4, DevOps pipelines, Change & Release Governance

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure
