Job Purpose:
The Assistant Manager Accounts will oversee core financial operations while assisting in leading the implementation of Odoo ERP to streamline and automate accounting processes. This role ensures data accuracy, compliance, and improved efficiency across the department.
Key Responsibilities:
ERP Implementation: Assist in leading the implementation of Odoo ERP for accounting, working closely with the IT and training teams to ensure a seamless transition from manual processes to automated systems.
Financial Operations: Assist in overseeing daily accounting tasks including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Process Improvement: Identify and address inefficiencies in current accounting workflows, ensuring that the integration of ERP improves accuracy, reporting speed, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Final Accounts Preparation: Prepare final accounts and balance sheets manually, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Record Maintenance & Reconciliation: Maintain financial records and perform reconciliations for accurate financial reporting.
Odoo Software Expertise: Utilize Odoo software for accounting and financial management, providing support in its optimization and troubleshooting.
Software Implementation: Participate in software implementation and optimization processes to ensure effective ERP use across the organization.
Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team to ensure smooth financial operations and the successful integration of new systems.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience in Final Accounts: Proven experience in preparing final accounts and managing balance sheets.
- Odoo Expertise: Strong knowledge of Odoo software and its application in accounting.
- Software Implementation Experience: Hands-on experience with ERP software implementation and troubleshooting.
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in the manufacturing sector is a must.
- Communication & Organizational Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA/CA/ACCA preferred).
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with prior exposure to ERP implementation being highly desirable.
