We're Hiring – Senior Automation Engineer

Location:
Korangi, Karachi

Wavetec is looking for a
Senior Automation Engineer
with
3–4 years of hands-on experience
in automation testing and framework development. If you're passionate about building robust automation solutions and enhancing software quality through innovation, we'd love to have you on our team

Key Responsibilities:


• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, desktop, and mobile applications.


• Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to define test strategies and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.


• Identify testing gaps and ensure end-to-end automation coverage for functional and regression testing.


• Develop and execute automated test scripts using tools such as
Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar frameworks
.


• Create and maintain documentation for automation processes, tools, and test cases.


• Analyze test results, report defects, and work with cross-functional teams for resolution.


• Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting process enhancements and best practices.


• Mentor junior QA engineers and help them enhance their automation capabilities.

Requirements:


•
3–4 years of experience
in automation testing or software quality assurance (Automation-focused).


• Strong command over one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).


• Proficiency with automation tools like
Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, or similar
.


• Experience integrating automation tests with
CI/CD tools
such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.


• Understanding of
API testing
tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).


• Solid understanding of
Agile/Scrum methodologies
.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
