The role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified
Site Supervision Engineer (Civil)
to join our team for one of our Water Resources Development projects. This role requires a dedicated professional with a solid foundation in civil engineering and extensive experience in supervising infrastructure projects, particularly in the water resource development sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

  • Monitor and manage day-to-day construction activities, ensuring work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to contractors and site staff to ensure the correct interpretation of project requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify that construction work complies with project specifications, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and inspection reports.
  • Prepare detailed reports on construction progress, including any deviations from the plan, delays, and issues, along with proposed corrective actions.
  • Identify and resolve any technical issues or on-site challenges, providing innovative solutions to keep the project on track.

With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.

Suitable applicants will have/be:

  • Tertiary qualifications or a related discipline (e.g. B.Sc/BE in Civil Engineering) or relevant discipline.
  • 07 years of experience in design and construction supervision of water irrigation projects.
  • Sound communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
