Position Overview:

We're building a team to deliver HIPAA‑compliant healthcare applications in 8‑week cycles. We need a customer‑focused Product Manager who bridges healthcare domain expertise with rapid prototyping and delivery.  You will work directly with healthcare founders and organizational stakeholders in the US to validate problem/solution fit and convert validated prototypes into production-ready, compliant applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage directly with healthcare startup founders and stakeholders (primarily the US region) to surface pain points, map workflows, and prioritize opportunities.
  • Lead customer discovery and problem validation through discovery calls and meetings, user journey mapping, and rapid experiments.
  • Translate validated needs into working prototypes using low-code/no-code tools (e.g., Lovable, FlutterFlow, etc.) and low-effort engineering proofs-of-concept.
  • Run rapid iteration cycles (8-week delivery cadence): plan sprints, set success criteria, collect feedback, and refine solutions.
  • Ensure product designs and implementations comply with HIPAA/BAA and applicable healthcare standards.
  • Maintain product backlog, write clear PRDs/user stories, define acceptance criteria, and own releases for assigned features.
  • Coordinate with legal/compliance and DevOps on data privacy, hosting, and audit requirements.
  • Advocate for product improvements, interoperability (APIs/FHIR), and secure handling of clinical data.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- 10+ years in product management or equivalent roles, with substantial experience in healthcare products (healthcare SaaS, digital health, clinical workflows).
- Proven experience in customer discovery, rapid prototyping, and moving prototypes to production.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA/BAA requirements, healthcare data privacy, and basic healthcare regulatory considerations.
- Hands-on experience with low-code/no-code prototyping tools and rapid delivery platforms.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, 8-week delivery cycles with tight customer feedback loops.
- Must be able to work overlapping hours in CST (U.S. Central Time) to coordinate with customers and get quick feedback.
- Proven experience in managing a product throughout its lifecycle, detailed design, solution development, testing, and deployment

Preferred / Ideal Candidate

  • Deep familiarity with clinical workflows (EHR integrations, scheduling, telehealth, remote monitoring).
  • Experience with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7) and designing API-driven solutions.
  • Prior experience delivering HIPAA-compliant products end-to-end; experience negotiating or operating under BAAs is a plus.
  • Familiarity with productizing ML/AI features (model evaluation, data pipelines, bias/privacy considerations) — helpful but not mandatory.
