We are looking for a Senior 2D Artist to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have strong artistic skills, a solid understanding of visual design principles, and proven experience creating high-quality 2D game art. As a Senior 2D Artist, you will play a key role in defining the artistic vision, mentoring junior artists, and ensuring the delivery of visually compelling and consistent artwork across projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality 2D assets, including characters, environments, props, UI elements, and concept art.
  • Collaborate closely with the Art Director, Game Designers, and Developers to align visuals with gameplay needs and project goals.
  • Define and maintain the visual style and artistic direction of the project.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and feedback to junior and mid-level artists.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure art assets are optimized for game performance.
  • Create concept art and mood boards to support the creative vision.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, art tools, and techniques to bring fresh ideas and innovation to the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Animation, Game Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a 2D Artist in the gaming industry.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in character design, environment art, and UI/UX design.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Spine (or similar 2D animation tools).
  • Solid understanding of color theory, composition, perspective, and visual storytelling.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a game development pipeline (Unity/Unreal knowledge is a plus).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver high-quality work under deadlines.
  • Experience with 2D animation, VFX, or motion graphics.
  • Knowledge of 3D software (Blender, Maya, 3ds Max) for integration with 2D pipelines.
  • Previous experience mentoring or leading small art teams.
  • Passion for mobile games and interactive storytelling.
