About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Operations Specialist to join our team. This role is focused on driving HR processes, building and documenting policies and SOPs, maintaining a strong organizational culture, and ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations. Unlike a traditional HR role heavily focused on talent acquisition, this position emphasizes structure, compliance, and employee experience to help the organization scale efficiently.
Key Responsibilities Process Development & SOPs
- Collaborate with department leads to create, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for multiple functions across the organization.
- Ensure SOPs are practical, easy to follow, and aligned with company policies and compliance standards.
- Establish a system for regular SOP review, updates, and knowledge sharing to maintain consistency and scalability.
- Support cross-department alignment by facilitating workshops and ensuring SOPs capture best practices.
Policy Development & Compliance
- Draft, implement, and maintain company-wide HR policies (e.g., leave, attendance, code of conduct, workplace behavior, remote work, etc.).
- Partner with leadership to ensure policies reflect organizational values while staying compliant with labor laws and regulations.
- Regularly review, update, and communicate policies to ensure clarity and accessibility for employees.
- Educate managers and employees on policy interpretation and application.
Culture & Engagement
- Design and execute initiatives to foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
- Support employee engagement programs, recognition frameworks, and feedback systems.
- Partner with leadership to promote company values and ensure cultural alignment.
HR Administration
- Oversee employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, and performance management.
- Manage HR records, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Support payroll, benefits administration, and leave management in coordination with finance and external partners.
Employee Support
- Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries.
- Support conflict resolution, employee relations, and general workplace wellbeing.
Collaboration
- Work closely with leadership to align HR operations with business goals.
- Partner with talent acquisition when needed, but focus primarily on operational HR responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in HR operations, HR generalist, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, labor laws, and compliance.
- Experience creating SOPs and drafting HR policies.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to balance detail orientation with big-picture cultural goals.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
