Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented Web Developer with proven expertise in Shopify and WordPress/WooCommerce - remote position to design, build, and maintain high-performing eCommerce websites. The ideal candidate has strong front-end development skills, understands conversion-driven design, and can customize themes/plugins to deliver tailored solutions for businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Shopify and WordPress (WooCommerce) eCommerce websites.
  • Customize and optimize themes, templates, and plugins for performance and usability.
  • Integrate third-party apps, payment gateways, shipping APIs, and POS systems.
  • Ensure responsive, mobile-friendly, and SEO-optimized designs.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve website issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to improve UX and conversion rates.
  • Maintain website security, backups, and performance monitoring.
  • Stay up to date with the latest eCommerce trends, tools, and technologies.

Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in Shopify (Liquid, custom theme development, app integrations).
  • Proficiency in WordPress & WooCommerce (theme customization, plugin development, page builders like Elementor/Divi).
  • Front-end skills: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, React/Vue (bonus).
  • Back-end knowledge: PHP, MySQL.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs & GraphQL (Shopify Storefront API, WP REST API).
  • Experience with SEO optimization, site speed optimization, and Google Analytics.
  • Knowledge of Git/GitHub for version control.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
  • Detail-oriented with an eye for design and user experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Shopify and WordPress/WooCommerce.
  • Experience integrating payment gateways, POS systems, and third-party APIs.
  • Knowledge of Shopify Plus and multi-store WordPress setups.
  • Previous work in eCommerce businesses is a strong plus.
