Creative Fabricator & Designer (Furniture + POSM)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a multi-skilled Creative Fabricator & Designer who can ideate, design, and build custom furniture pieces, retail display units, and branded POSM (Point-of-Sale Materials). This role blends craftsmanship with design thinking—ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of aesthetics, functionality, and fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

Furniture Design & Fabrication

  • Design and build custom furniture using wood, metal, acrylic, and mixed materials
  • Interpret technical drawings and translate concepts into physical prototypes and final products
  • Operate woodworking and metalworking tools, CNC routers, and finishing equipment

POSM & Display Production

  • Develop creative, brand-aligned POSM including kiosks, stands, signage, and in-store displays
  • Collaborate with marketing and retail teams to understand campaign needs and spatial constraints
  • Ensure structural integrity, portability, and visual appeal of all POSM units

Design & Prototyping

  • Create 2D/3D renderings, mockups, and technical drawings using software like SketchUp, AutoCAD, or Rhino
  • Source materials and manage prototyping timelines
  • Work closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure design feasibility and cost-efficiency

Workshop & Production Oversight

  • Maintain workshop tools and ensure safety protocols are followed
  • Manage small-scale production runs and quality control
  • Innovate on material use, joinery techniques, and sustainable practices

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in furniture making, industrial design, or POSM fabrication
  • Strong portfolio showcasing both design and build projects
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suites)
  • Hands-on experience with woodworking, metal fabrication, and finishing techniques
  • Understanding of branding, retail environments, and visual merchandising
  • Ability to manage time, materials, and multiple projects simultaneously
