We are seeking a highly skilled and creative
Senior 2D Illustrator
to join our dynamic game development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong artistic vision, excellent illustration skills, and the ability to translate concepts into visually compelling artwork that enhances player experience. This role requires close collaboration with designers, animators, and developers to bring characters, environments, and assets to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality
    2D illustrations, concepts, and game assets
    , including characters, environments, props, and UI elements.
  • Collaborate with the art director and design team to ensure consistency with the game's style and vision.
  • Develop detailed concept art to guide 2D/3D artists and animators.
  • Refine and polish artwork based on feedback while maintaining deadlines.
  • Ensure all assets are optimized and production-ready for integration into the game engine.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide creative input to improve visual storytelling.
  • Stay updated with
    gaming trends, art styles, and new illustration techniques
    to enhance project quality.
  • Mentor junior artists and provide constructive feedback to elevate the overall art team's output.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Fine Arts, Game Design, Graphic Design
    , or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a
    2D Illustrator/Concept Artist
    in the gaming industry (5+ years preferred).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing
    game-related artwork
    , including character and environment design.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as
    Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Clip Studio Paint
    (knowledge of Spine, After Effects, or Unity is a plus).
  • Excellent understanding of
    color theory, composition, lighting, and anatomy
    .
  • Ability to adapt to different art styles as per project requirements.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills.
