Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Accountant located in Karachi. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Daily tasks include reconciling accounts, preparing budgets, generating reports, and analyzing financial data. The role also involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders, providing financial insights, and supporting the overall financial management of the company.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and audit processes.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
  • Experience in the laboratory or industrial sector is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

· Handle daily accounting activities, including ledger updates, reconciliations, etc.

· Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

· Prepare and review financial statements and reports in accordance with applicable standards

· Manage accounts payable and receivable operations, including invoice processing

· Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow transactions.

· Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.

· Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with regulatory requirements.

· Coordinate with auditors and prepare audit-related documentation.

· Identify and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency in financial processes.

· Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support finance-related queries and reporting.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (ACCA, CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred).

· –8 years of relevant experience,

· Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Odoo, Oracle)

· Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance standards.

· Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
