The
Assistant Manager – Research Design
will play a key role in designing, implementing, and disseminating research and evaluation studies across TCF's programs. This role supports the generation of evidence that drives learning and data-informed decision-making, ensuring that research outputs are methodologically sound, insightful, and actionable.

As part of TCF's
Research and Knowledge Sharing (RKS)
team, you will help enable organisational introspection and continuous improvement by supporting evidence-based strategies for impact at individual, school, program, and system levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design of methodologically robust studies to generate insights for decision-making.
  • Contribute across all stages of research — from needs assessment, design, and tool development to data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Conduct literature reviews, develop logic models and theories of change in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and test data collection instruments for validity and reliability.
  • Ensure enumerators and researchers are well-trained and equipped to collect high-quality data.
  • Analyse and document findings, prepare reports, and coordinate dissemination of research outputs.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Social Sciences, Development Studies, Education, Economics, or a related field
    .
  • 2–3 years
    of research and evaluation experience, preferably in the education or development sector.
  • Familiarity with
    quantitative and qualitative research frameworks, tools, and methodologies
    .
  • Excellent
    English and Urdu communication skills
    (writing, analysis, and presentation).
  • Strong project management, organisation, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in
    MS Office
    and a passion for
    social impact and evidence-based learning
    .
  • Frequent travel within Pakistan
