Job Description:

The Network Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of complex network infrastructures, ensuring seamless operation and robust security across all systems. This role demands a seasoned professional with deep expertise in routing, switching, network security, and the latest networking technologies. The successful candidate will also be adept at handling escalated customer queries and managing critical network projects to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities:

· Architect and deploy advanced network solutions encompassing both LAN and WAN environments.

· Mastery of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, ISIS and EIGRP, along with comprehensive VLAN management and Layer 2/3 switching.

· Deploy and maintain complex routing schemes and optimize switching configurations, including VLAN segmentation, MSTP, MPLS, and EtherChannel.

· Implement and maintain security protocols, including firewall configurations, Access Control Lists (ACLs), and VPN solutions.

· Proactively monitor and mitigate network vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with security standards.

· Serve as the top-tier technical resource for escalated customer issues, providing expert guidance and resolution in a timely manner.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer satisfaction and network reliability.

· Oversee the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of RADIUS servers for user authentication and accounting.

· Proficient knowledge of fiber technologies including GPON, FTTx, and point to point optical networks.

· Hands-on experience with wireless communication technologies such as Ubiquiti, Mimosa, and Aruba configurations.

· Monitor network performance metrics to ensure compliance with SLAs and KPIs.

· Identify and address areas for improvement to optimize network performance and reliability.

· Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including configurations, network maps, and security protocols.

· Prepare detailed reports on network performance, security incidents, and project outcomes.

Qualifications:

· Certifications: CCNP required; additional certifications such as CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent network security credentials are highly desirable.

· Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a network engineering role, with a strong focus on routing, switching, and network security.

Technical Proficiency:

· In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, ISIS) and switching technologies.

· Extensive experience with RADIUS servers, network security practices, and VPN management.

· Strong background in fiber optics and wireless technologies.

· Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues with a methodical and analytical approach.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
