We are seeking a seasoned and strategic
Head of Development
to lead our entire portfolio of development projects. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader responsible for driving projects from initial concept through to successful completion, ensuring alignment with our long-term business goals and upholding the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, financial acumen, team leadership, and expert stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Develop and implement long-term development strategies that are aligned with the company's overall goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive market and financial feasibility studies for all proposed projects.

2. Project Oversight & Management:

  • Lead and supervise all development projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional quality standards.
  • Identify potential risks in project execution and implement preventive measures to mitigate them.
  • Ensure all development work meets strict regulatory, environmental, and internal company standards.

3. Team & Stakeholder Leadership:

  • Manage, mentor, and lead the development team, which includes engineers, architects, planners, and support staff.
  • Act as the primary liaison with government authorities, clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project approvals and execution.

4. Financial & Performance Management:

  • Prepare and meticulously monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure the profitability of all development ventures.
  • Provide regular, detailed updates and reports to senior management and board members on project status, budgets, and milestones.

5. Innovation & Process Improvement:

  • Introduce innovative ideas and improve systems to enhance efficiency and productivity in all development processes.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in large-scale project management, preferably within the real estate development or construction industries.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, managing multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, architects, and planners.
  • Demonstrable track record of leading complex projects from concept to completion.

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is required.
  • A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Project Management (PMP) is highly preferred.

    Exceptional ability to coordinate with and manage relationships with government authorities, clients, and contractors.

    Ability to develop long-term strategies that align with high-level business objectives.
  • Risk Management:
    Adept at identifying and mitigating project risks effectively.
  • Communication:
    Excellent reporting and presentation skills, with experience providing updates to senior management and board members.
