Role Description

The Cashier will be responsible for handling, recording, and reconciling daily cash transactions while ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with company policies. This is a back-office role that requires strong financial discipline, attention to detail, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, count, and reconcile daily cash deposits from front cashiers/outlets.
  • Verify receipts and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Maintain proper records of daily, weekly, and monthly cash inflows/outflows.
  • Prepare daily cash balance reports and submit to the Finance Manager.
  • Ensure the safe handling and secure storage of cash.
  • Deposit cash in the bank as per company policy.
  • Monitor discrepancies and report shortages/excesses immediately.
  • Coordinate with front desk cashiers, supervisors, and the accounts team.
  • Assist auditors during internal and external audits.
  • Follow company procedures for cash management and compliance

Qualifications & Requirements


• Minimum Intermediate/Graduate (Bachelor in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance preferred).


• 2–4 years of experience in cashiering, accounts, or a finance-related role.


• Strong numerical ability and accuracy in handling money.


• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.


• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).


• Good communication and coordination skills.


• High level of integrity, honesty, and confidentiality.
