Job Overview:
As a Senior Educational Counselor, you will play a critical role in guiding students from various international markets, including the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, and other major study destinations, through the application and enrollment process for universities worldwide. You will be responsible for assisting students in selecting the right programs and institutions based on their academic goals, financial capabilities, and personal preferences, and providing them with comprehensive support throughout their journey—from initial inquiry to successful enrollment.
Key Responsibilities and Major Job Functions:
- Lead Generation and Student Counseling:
- Manage and oversee the entire student journey from initial lead to final enrollment across multiple international markets (UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, etc.).
- Proactively engage with prospective students and guide them through the university selection and application process.
Conduct calls, emails, and virtual meetings with potential students to identify their academic interests, aspirations, and preferences, tailoring your counseling approach to meet their needs.
Lead Qualification and Student Conversion:
- Filter and qualify leads, including cold leads, appointment-based leads, and students with pending documentation, ensuring that only credible students are nurtured.
Manage the application process by converting qualified leads into committed students through personalized follow-ups and support.
Counseling and University Selection:
- Provide in-depth counseling to students by identifying their academic and personal goals and recommending suitable study destinations, universities, and programs (minimum two options) based on budget, location, and academic criteria.
Ensure students are well-informed about various options in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, and other popular international education markets.
Application Processing and Document Management:
- Assist students in compiling and submitting all necessary documentation, such as passports, academic transcripts, English proficiency test scores, CVs, reference letters, and Statement of Purpose (SOP).
Guide students through the application submission process, ensuring that all requirements for their chosen universities are met.
Offer Letter and Enrollment Support:
- Assist students with securing offer letters from universities and ensuring they receive unconditional offers, where applicable.
Support students throughout the acceptance and enrollment process, including payments and confirming placements.
Visa and Immigration Assistance:
- Work closely with students to ensure that students submit complete and accurate visa applications for their chosen destination.
Assist students in preparing for visa interviews, providing guidance on required documents, and coordinating with immigration services when necessary.
Pre-Departure and Orientation Support:
- Prepare students for CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) interviews and assist them in obtaining their CAS for the UK and other similar documentation for other destinations.
Provide pre-departure briefings and advice on settling in the destination country, helping students with cultural and logistical preparations for their studies abroad.
Engagement and Relationship Building:
- Maintain continuous communication with students until the point of enrollment and beyond, ensuring a high level of student satisfaction and retention.
Encourage students to share their experiences and promote positive word-of-mouth recommendations.
Student Reviews and Referrals:
- Actively gather feedback and reviews from students regarding their application process and overall experience.
Encourage students to share their experiences with prospective students to help build the company's reputation in international markets.
Events and Education Fairs:
- Represent the organization at international education fairs and student events, ensuring that all guests feel welcomed and valued.
Act as a point of contact at events, answering queries, providing relevant information, and establishing connections with potential students and university representatives.
Ongoing Communication and Enrollment Support:
Stay in contact with students throughout their university journey until their course is completed, offering continued support and guidance as necessary.
Collaboration and Administrative Support:
- Collaborate with the internal teams (Admissions, Compliance, Visa) to ensure smooth operations and that all compliance regulations are met.
- Assist with any other duties or projects as assigned by management, including but not limited to student outreach, marketing activities, and market research.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, Master's (Preferred), work experience in a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in student counseling, education consultancy, or admissions with a focus on international markets (UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, etc.).
- Strong understanding of university admissions processes, including application requirements, visa procedures, and cultural expectations for international students.
- Excellent communication skills in English & Urdu (written and spoken); proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with students, educational institutions, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel for student events, education fairs, and in-person consultations as required.
