Job Summary:

The Retail Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our retail store, ensuring smooth functioning, efficient processes, and achievement of sales and profitability targets. The role involves managing staff, optimizing store performance, implementing policies, maintaining inventory control, and ensuring excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Store Operations Management

  • Supervise daily retail operations across all branches or assigned stores.
  • Ensure each store follows company policies, operational guidelines, and brand standards.
  • Monitor store cleanliness, visual merchandising, and display standards.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of cash handling, billing, and customer service processes.

2. Sales & Performance Management

  • Achieve sales targets and KPIs across the retail network.
  • Analyze sales reports and identify areas for growth or improvement.
  • Develop and execute promotional and sales strategies in coordination with the marketing team.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends.

3. Staff Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, train, and motivate store staff and branch managers.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching for improvement.
  • Ensure proper shift scheduling and workforce planning.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and high performance.

4. Inventory & Supply Chain Control

  • Oversee stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of products.
  • Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory.
  • Minimize stock losses, damages, and discrepancies through effective control systems.
  • Ensure periodic inventory audits and reconciliations.

5. Customer Experience & Service Quality

  • Ensure every store delivers excellent customer service aligned with brand standards.
  • Handle escalated customer issues and resolve complaints effectively.
  • Gather customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities.

6. Financial & Administrative Oversight

  • Monitor store expenses and ensure cost efficiency.
  • Verify sales deposits, petty cash, and operational expenditures.
  • Prepare regular performance and financial reports for management review.

7. Compliance & Policy Implementation

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, health & safety standards, and legal requirements.
  • Implement operational processes and training as per company SOPs.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in retail operations or multi-store management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and POS systems.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a problem-solving attitude.
