The System Engineer / System Consultant (QA Implementation & Support Engineer)is responsible for ensuring quality and stability across client implementations, deployments, and post-release support. The role involves validating configurations, performing functional and regression testing, and supporting clients and internal teams during implementation and production rollout phases. This position bridges QA, Implementation, and Support functions to ensure a seamless product experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct functional, integration, and regression testing for implementation projects.
  • Review and validate system configurations before deployment to ensure readiness and compliance with business requirements.
  • Automate & execute test plans and test cases to verify successful implementation of new features, updates, or patches.
  • Collaborate with Development, Implementation, and Support teams to identify and resolve product or environment issues.
  • Support production deployment activities by validating system behavior post-implementation.
  • Assist in replicating, investigating, and verifying reported issues from clients or internal users.
  • Maintain test documentation, including test results, defect reports, and sign-offs.
  • Ensure timely communication and escalation of defects and risks during the QA or support cycle.
  • Contribute to process improvement by identifying recurring issues and suggesting preventive actions.
Skills:
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies.
  • Knowledge of API testing (e.g., Postman), SQL queries, and log analysis.
  • Familiarity with deployment validation and environment configurations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and on-site/offshore teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting & problem-solving skills (go-getter mindset).
  • Self-organized, proactive, able to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication & client-handling skills with empathy.
  • Knowledge of payments domain (Switches, Cards, Gateways, Digital Banking, RAAST) is a big plus.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux, Oracle/SQL, networking basics preferred.
