Role Summary

The Primary Teacher will deliver child-centered education to students from underserved communities, ensuring foundational literacy, numeracy, and socio-emotional development. The role requires a compassionate educator committed to improving learning outcomes and supporting holistic development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach primary-level classes (Grades 1–5) using activity-based and experiential learning methods.
  • Develop lesson plans, teaching aids, and assessments aligned with NGO curriculum guidelines.
  • Track student progress and maintain academic records.
  • Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support.
  • Create an inclusive, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Conduct community/parent meetings to encourage participation in children's education.
  • Participate in teacher training, workshops, and capacity-building programs.
  • Support NGO initiatives such as health camps, awareness drives, and extracurricular activities.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree (B.Ed / preferred).
  • 1–3 years of teaching experience (experience with low-income communities preferred).
  • Strong communication skills in English and local language.
  • Ability to use activity-based learning, phonics, and basic digital tools.
  • Passion for working with children and community development.
